Iran: Tehran taxi drivers protest new traffic laws
PMOI/MEK, Tehran, 6 May 2018 - A group of taxi drivers rallied outside Tehran’s city hall protesting the capital’s new traffic laws. The protesters say the city has increased the traffic taxes multiple fold, consequently increasing taxi fares.
One of the protesters said the city keeps increasing the cost and we are forced to increase the fares, which results in shrinking the number of customers, and that nobody takes the responsibility on this subject.
In another news, employees of Tehran’s Nowzohoor Paper Factory rallied in front of the company's main office on Saturday. They were protesting unpaid salaries for the past 14 months, including pensions and insurance returns.
