Iran: Dense social harms Vis a Vis women in Tehran
“There are women and girls in Tehran who have no place for a healthy life.”
Soraya Shareqi, Director General of Women and Family Affairs in Tehran’s Governorate, made the above admission and added, “Corruption will grow if we, as the government, do not account.”
She also said, “Tehran Province is overwhelmed by social ailments… Some women and girls need a safe place to improve their living conditions because of economic problems and addiction; some have been released from jail and have no suitable place for living; they include runaway girls, homeless women, and women with no guardians or bad guardians.
