Starting tomorrow Iran Probe will be launching its Albanian language page. The objective is to shed light and reveal the Iranian regime’s plots targeting the friendship established between the Albanian people and government with members of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), former residents of camps Ashraf and Liberty in Iraq.
The sources providing the information for Iran Probe are from the Iranian regime’s democratic opposition, and eyewitnesses inside the regime apparatus and those who have been victims of Tehran’s plots. Iran Probe sources also cite portions of information published by official Iranian regime sources vividly explaining Tehran’s objectives.
The last group of PMOI/MEK members left Iraq in September 2016 and arrived in Albania as part of a joint plan implemented by the United Nations and the governments of Albania and United States. Of course, through its influence on the Iraqi government, Tehran had resorted to a variety of efforts to prevent the transfer of PMOI/MEK members out of Iraq.
The Iranian regime was deploying a comprehensive plan to massacre each and every PMOI/MEK member in the last years of their presence in Camp Liberty, located adjacent to Baghdad International Airport. Tehran’s goal was to prevent the departure of even a single individual, knowing very well if the PMOI/MEK exit Iraq their massacre will become completely impossible. Prior to this, terrorists of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Quds Force, in cooperation with various governments of Iraq, had from 2009 to 2016 staged eight lethal ground attacks against Camp Ashraf and rocket attacks against Camp Liberty, leaving 141 residents killed and hundreds of others wounded.
Following the transfer to Albania, the Iranian regime has sought to regain the initiative. To this end, Tehran has reorganized and restructured its embassy in Albania for this very conspiracy against the PMOI/MEK’s presence in Iraq.
Firstly, Iran appointed a notorious deputy Intelligence Minister by the name of Gholamhossein Mohammadnia as its new envoy in Tirana. This individual previously took part in Iran’s nuclear talks with the P5+1 on behalf of the mullahs’ Intelligence Ministry. Furthermore, websites such as Habilian, Sahar, Nejat and Iran Interlink, all linked to the Intelligence Ministry’s terror and assassination network, have been focused on posting fake news and demonizing the presence of PMOI/MEK members in Albania. Moreover, the Iranian regime has from mid-2016, after transferring Mohammadnia to Albania, placed major attention on establishing connections with Albanian intellectuals, including academicians, artists and religious sect leaders in pursuit of its future objectives in canvasing a notorious image of the PMOI/MEK.
