Iran’s revolting cities & hope in change

Iran’s revolting cities & hope in change

Iran, June 28, 2018
 - The sudden rise in the price of the U.S. dollar, with parts of the regime interested in this trend continuing, is now crumbling down on the regime and pushed the people into street protests.
40 years of the regime plundering the society has plunged the society into grave crises, including:
  • Farmers’ protests
  • Protests by the unemployed and those demanding their due paychecks
  • The dollar/currency crisis
These three economic/social issues are behind protests launched by three social classes:
  1. Workers
  2. Urban small business owners
  3. Rural small business owners
The state’s inabilities have transformed the society into a scene in which nationwide protests are continuing, rendering new protests spreading to new cities and towns.
Failing to respond to the society’s demands, Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has defined a different triangle:
  1. The United States
  2. Arabic countries
  3. The Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)
Three of the Iranian regime’s policies have also failed in the past four decades:
  1. International policies (nuclear deal)
  2. Regional policies (meddling in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and …)
  3. Domestic policies (Crackdown against dissidents)
The concessions provided by the Obama administration to this regime were canceled one by one from the beginning of 2018. Although the Europeans are concerned with their economic interests, they will never choose to stand alongside the Iranian regime, again due to their economic interests.
Iran’s policy of exporting terrorism and fundamentalism, costing billions of dollars a year to keep wars away from its own borders, are gravely criticized by the international community. Protesters in the streets are also chanting:
“Our enemy is right here; they lie and say it’s America”
“Not Gaza. Not Lebanon. My life for Iran.”
“Let go of Syria, think about us”
Domestically, the Iranian regime is witnessing protests spreading to new parts of the country with each passing day. This proves how their crackdown policy has failed miserably.
However, Iranian regime figures busy plundering this nation continue their measures and there is no end in sight regarding their thirst. In response, protests and strikes are expanding across Iran and the regime’s concerns are growing as we speak.
Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi issued a message recently hailing the brave protesters in Tehran and other cities.
“Overthrow and regime change have been the Iranian Resistance’s sole method and policy from June 20th, 1981, to this day… We have said and repeat today that overthrowing and regime change is our duty and task, and on the shoulders of us, our people and our nation’s revolutionary vanguard… with revolting cities and teams…”
The significant value drop in the country’s currency, the rial, is pushing the people into their tolerance endpoint. The Dec/Jan protests, continuing in different cities to this day, are targeting the very top of this regime.
The truck drivers’ nationwide strike, coinciding with the widespread bazaar strikes in the city of Baneh of western Iran, in addition to the Kazerun uprising, are evolving and spreading to the strikes we are currently witnessing in Tehran. This is sending alarm signals across the regime apparatus that consider the capital as their last bastion.
People from all walks of life are have expressed their support by voicing solidarity and pouring into the streets resulting in major protests and clashes.
These protests will be witnessing their voices reach the world’s ears at the annual Iranian opposition convention scheduled this year for June 30th in Paris.
Each year this rally is a symbol of the power enjoyed by the Iranian people and their organized resistance movement. Without a doubt, this event will provide hope for the masses seeking regime change inside Iran and prove to the world there is a solution and viable alternative for the regime ruling Iran.
