Iran: Young Arab murdered by intel agents
Iran, June 7, 2018 - The Iranian regime’s Intelligence Ministry in Ahvaz has murdered a 20-year-old local under torture, reports indicate.
Ahvaz intelligence authorities contacted the family of Hatam Marmazi on Tuesday to have them come and receive his corpse.
Marmazi, a political and cultural activist born in the city of Susangerd, was arrested by Ahvaz intelligence authorities on June 12th, 2017, in a village while returning from the home of his relatives.
His family was kept in the dark despite the fact that they constantly sought information about his whereabouts. All security and intelligence entities denied any knowledge of his arrest.
A number of Dec/Jan demonstration protesters arrested by intelligence agents had seen Marmazi in the Ahvaz Intelligence Department and informed his family of his whereabouts
at the time.
Although the mullahs’ regime has attempted to silence the voice of the justice-seeking Iranian people, this nation has never succumbed to their demands and continues to rise and keep the flame of protests very much alive across the country.
Crimes committed by Iranian regime authorities against the Iranian Arab community have a history of resulting in widespread protests.
In April of this year, following demonstrations protesting insults broadcast on state TV against the Iranian Arab community, authorities resorted to a severe crackdown and arrested 400 demonstrators.
Families from Iran’s Khuzestan Province were also seen rallying on April 16th in three different locations of Ahvaz, including outside the offices of the governor, protesting and demanding the release of their loved ones.
It is worth noting that continuous revelations made by the Iranian opposition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) have informed the representatives of countries across the globe of the Iranian regime’s crimes. These atrocities have been condemned through a variety of resolutions. This includes sanctioning this regime’s brutal entities and thus making it at least more difficult for the mullahs’ regime to continue its brutal crackdown machine.
A number of such measures include:
- The European Parliament issuing a resolution condemning human rights violations in Iran
- The U.S. Treasury Department blacklisting and sanctioning Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison
- The blacklisting of five individuals linked directly to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards
