Iran Regime's Nuclear Negotiator: America's Foreign Policy Agenda Is Regime Change In Iran

NCRI - Iranian regime’s senior nuclear negotiator and former diplomat said the hostility between the Islamic Republic and the United States has always existed, but the policy of regime change in the Trump administration became public. He claims that an unprecedented alliance between the United States, Israel and Saudi is formed to implement this policy.
The nuclear negotiator, Hossein Mousavian, on Friday March 30 in an interview with state-run ISNA news agency stated that the US government has been denouncing the regime over the past decades with titles such as “Axis of Evil”, “State Sponsor of Terrorism”, “Rogue State”, “The State of Hatred”, and “Interventionist Government.”
At the same time, the state-run Mizan news agency affiliated to the regime’s judiciary quoted a speech by the regime’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, in which a main theme is to describe the “hostility” of the United States towards Iran.
According to the report, Khamenei on October 2, 2016, in a meeting with a group of high school and university students said that Iran (Regime) has big and small enemies and added: “The one (country) that I emphasize on is the United States, which is our enemy in the real sense of the word and shows hostility and malice. This (what I am saying) is not biased; it is not from a cynical perspective; it is from experience, a true understanding of the facts and seeing the field.”

Mousavian claims that the United States’ strategy from the 1979 revolution has been a regime change in Iran, and only during the nuclear talks, Barack Obama was the first and only US president to officially announce at the United Nations General Assembly that he was not pursuing this.
“The official and operational alliance created by the triangle of Tel Aviv, Washington, and Riyadh-Abu Dhabi in coordination with the Trump administration is unprecedented in the whole period of Iran-US relations after the revolution,” Mousavian added.
Mousavian, in response to the question of whether the popular protests in January has prompted the United States to publicly support regime change in Iran from the inside, said: “Do not doubt that the triangle has a detailed list of follow-up actions that demonstrations in Iran, factional feuding among Iranian officials, the domestic problems of Iran especially the economic and social problems, and the problems of other countries, especially neighbouring and regional countries with Iran, are among them.”
The popular protests and uprising began with the slogan of “no to high prices” but soon turned into slogans against corruption and dictatorship that targeted the regime and Khamenei on top of the regime.
The media and officials of the regime have previously said that the protesters have been chanting “deconstructive” slogans and, of course, attributing this part of the slogans to the provocation by “foreign enemies” and outbound media.
Emad Afroogh, a former representative of the regime’s parliament and professor of sociology at Tarbiat Modarres University, recently said that the January protests are due to the realm of the society and the rising dissatisfaction of the citizens. According to surveys, over 80% of the population consider economic problems as their most important concern.
