Videos Just received from Iran; more than a thousand people gathered in front of Evin Prison



Iran, Tehran; More than a thousand people have gathered in front of the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran on Tuesday, Jan. 9th to demand the release of their loved ones. 

Thirteen days of demonstrations in more than one hundred cities in Iran has rocked the country's elite. The protests started on Thursday, Dec. 28th in the city of Mashhad protesting against the high cost of livings. But it quickly spread to other cities in the country. different figures indicate that about 135 cities and towns in the four corners of the country took part in these demonstrations making that a nationwide uprising. Although the slogans in the beginning centered around economic grievances and high costs of livings, it quickly turned to political slogans and concentrated on the regime itself. 

Reports indicate that more than 50 people have been killed during the uprisings and about 3,000 arrested. Most of the arrested have been transferred to the infamous Evin Prison in Tehran which is known for its horrible tortures and executions. 

On Tuesday, Jan. 9, more than 1000 people, including the families and friends of the detained activists gathered in front of the Evin to demand the release of their loved ones. According to two regime MPs, three people have lost their lives while being incarcerated.
